Kaolin Clay

Also known as White Cosmetic Clay, China Clay, White Clay, Chalk, and White Dirt, Kaolin has a variety of uses. Soap makers often use it in shaving soaps and creams as it adds slip while being safe and is generally non-sensitizing. This soft and gentle clay can also be mixed with water to form facial masks that help to remove oil from the skin reduces the unwanted oily shine on the nose. Other applications include in the formulation of natural deodorants, poultices and scrubs.

Important Note: The Titanium Dioxide found in this product is naturally occurring in the Kaolin Clay.

 It is great for combating dry skin. It softens the harsh, dryness through gentle exfoliation, leaving behind a new glow. Because the clay is an absorbent it will never dissolve in water, but instead creates a paste with crystals small enough to exfoliate in the shower.

Because it absorbs excess oil and dirt from the skin, it helps clean out pores and prevent blackheads and breakouts. Some also find it to be soothing and that it can help reduce redness and signs of inflammation. You can even use it to exfoliate acne-prone skin without worsening irritation
