Description: Rosehip l is extremely high in essential fatty acids and is known to help with dry, irritated, weathered skin. It is reputed to replenish the skin’s moisture barrier and relieve itching due to dry skin. It is suitable to use as a moisturizer and may assist in reducing the visible signs of aging. There are some concerns that it can aggravate acne conditions. Please do a patch test on the skin before using it.

Rosehip oil and vitamin C

Rosehips are thought to have more vitamin C than an orange or lemon. Vitamin C has antioxidant properties. Research shows vitamin C may help reduce ultraviolet light damage caused by free radicals. Vitamin C also supports collagen production, which helps reduce wrinkling. Finally, vitamin C may increase wound healing and help prevent dry skin.

Rosehip oil contains vitamin A, which may benefit your skin by:

• reducing and reversing sun damage
• reducing wrinkles
• reducing hyperpigmentation
• treating mild to moderate acne

Common Uses: Organic Rosehip Oil is becoming popular with massage therapists for it's skin benefiting properties, though it is typically used in dilution (10% recommended). It is also suitable for cosmetics and manufacturing.

Suggested Usage: There are 2 ways to use it – apply two to three drops, warm in the palm of your hands and apply to your face or add just one or two drops of it to your normal moisturizer. For best results use Rosehip Oil morning and night. Allow 5 minutes before applying a moisturizer or sunscreen over it. All it takes is just a small amount, less is more.

Consistency: Typical and Characteristic of rosehip oils.

Absorption: Rosehip Oil is considered a “drying oil” which means that it is quickly absorbed by the skin and does not leave an oily feel.

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of up to 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

Cautions: Rosehip Oil may aggravate acne in high concentrations, and for some individuals, it may cause sensitivity to light if it gets into their eyes.

Storage: It is recommended that cold-pressed carrier oils be kept in a cool, dark place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. If refrigerated, bring to room temperature before using.
