Description: Wintergreen is a small evergreen herb which grows up to 15cm (6 in) high with slender stems, leathery serrated leaves, drooping white flowers followed by fleshy scarlet berries.

This Wintergreen Oil has a sweet, minty, and fresh aroma to it. It blends well with Marjoram, Thyme, Oregano and Mint Oils. Wintergreen is often used in massage blends, lotions, oral hygiene products and is thought to offer an atmosphere of relaxation. This is a Certified Organic Oil that has been certified through a Third Party Organization.

Color: Colorless to pale yellow clear liquid.

Common Uses: Wintergreen Essential Oil has a history of use as a pain reliever. It is also believed to increase the speed of healing for skin disorders, and when added to lotions, acts as a natural moisturizer.intergreen oil is sometimes referred to as Gaultheria oil. It is very sweet, minty and spicy and similar to Sweet Birch. The natural constituent Methyl Salicylate is the common denominator affecting the scent of both Birch and Wintergreen. In aromatherapy they share similar uses. Wintergreen works well in massage oils for sports injuries if dilluted properly. It is also a great refresher in room diffusers. Not surprisingly it blends well in mint and citrus but adds interesting detail to florals if used with discipline and care. Nepalese oil is sometimes pink due to traces of iron. We take the extra step to remove this iron when present to provide you with natural, pure and clear oil. 100% Pure and natural (C-14 isotope tested).

History: Wintergreen Essential Oil and Sweet Birch Essential Oil are both nearly identical in chemical composition and aroma; similarly, both have been used in traditional folk remedies. This tradition has led to the discovery of Methyl Salicylate, its main ingredient, as a pain reliever. Wintergreen is a traditional native North American remedy, used for aches and pains and to help breathing while hunting or carrying heavy loads.

Cautions: Avoid use if pregnant. Safety in young children, nursing women, or those with severe liver or kidney disease is not known.
